THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE will be
performed, live on stage, at the Starlight Theater
from March 16 to April 1, 2007. This recently
released musical comedy is coming to Oakland
County. Winner of 6 Tony Awards in 2003, including
Best Musical, the play tells the story of Millie
Dillmount who moves to New York to seek her
fortune. It's 1922 and Millie, full of Modern ideas,
has a plan. Will she succeed? Will she find true love
and happiness? Weeeell, this is musical comedy,
after all, so the fun is in the getting there.
This convivial show features great songs and
energetic dances, including Sweet Mystery of Life,
Only in New York, Forget About the Boy, Long As
I'm Here with You, The Speed Test, and Thoroughly
Modern Millie.
