A zany Comedy featuring the talents of Danielle Paccione Colombo
and Richard PaytonLaughing Wild is a wickedly funny and fiercely
ironic play by Christopher Durang, During Durang’s 30-year career,
New York critical acclaim has pointed out that “his lampoons are not
vicious or hostile; they are controlled comedies...At its best, [his
work] spills into a compassionate criticism of life.” Laughing Wild is
an exploration of a man’s and a woman’s shared nightmare of
modern life and the isolation it creates. This is typical of the urban
anxiety themes in Durang’s numerous award-winning theatre and
screen plays. Amid his parodies of drama, literature, movies,
families, show business and society, “Durang leaves the audience
laughing wildly and thoughtfully.” (WARNING: Some strong language)
