The Fall of the House of Usher
by Edgar Allan Poe

October 21 to 30, 2005
Fridays at 7:30pm
Saturdays at 4:30pm and 7:30pm
Sundays at 2:00pm and 4:30pm

The perfect beginning (or climax) to
any Halloween Party,

Ethan Powell, while responding to an urgent
summons from a childhood friend, finds himself
the solitary guest in the forbidding and
inhospitable Usher mansion. Roderick Usher, his
friend (and lord of the manor) is suffering from a
mysterious and virulent ailment that threatens him
with extinction, and, with him, the extinction of the
Usher line. The more Ethan is drawn into
investigating the mysteries of the House of Usher,
the darker and more horrifying the whole situation
seems to be. The play builds to a heart-stopping
climax. Based on the short story by the Master of
the Macabre, The Fall of the House of Usher is
sure to delight Poe fans and to convert the
uninitiated.
